Privacy Policy
Last updated 13 September 2026
PR Tracker is operated by Sajesh Jose, as an individual. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We have tried to write it so it can actually be read.
The dates you enter reveal where you are in an immigration process. We treat that as sensitive information and collect as little around it as possible.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive from Google:
- your email address
- your name
- your profile picture
What you enter in the app:
- which program you applied under (Provincial Nominee or Express Entry)
- the date you reached each stage of your application
That is everything. We run no analytics, no advertising trackers and no third-party scripts. We do not collect your location, your device identifiers, your browsing activity, or any government identifiers such as your UCI or application number — do not enter those anywhere in the app.
Why we collect it
Your dates build your own timeline and the predicted dates for the stages ahead of you. In aggregate, everyone's dates produce the typical waiting times the app shows.
That second use matters enough to have its own page: how your dates are used. In short: other applicants see medians and counts, never your individual dates, and never anything identifying you.
Your email and name are used only to sign you in and to attach your application to your account. They are never shown to other users.
Who else processes it
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account and dates are stored there, on servers in the United States (AWS
us-east-1, Northern Virginia). - Google — only when you choose to sign in with Google. Google tells us who you are; we do not tell Google anything about your application.
- Netlify — serves the app.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or disclose it to anyone else except where we are legally required to.
Cookies
One cookie, set when you sign in, which keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies. Clearing it signs you out.
Your rights
- See it — everything we hold about your application is visible in the app.
- Correct it — any date can be edited or cleared from your timeline.
- Delete it — deleting your account from Settings removes your account and all your dates, and stops them counting toward future aggregates.
- Ask us — for a copy of your data, or anything else, contact us at hello@dotyello.com.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account, or 36 months after it becomes inactive, whichever comes first.
Where your data is held
Outside Canada. Although this is a Canadian service and we are in Ontario, the database is hosted in the United States, so your account and the dates you log are stored there.
That matters for one reason worth stating plainly: while data is held in the United States it is subject to United States law, and can in principle be accessed by US courts, law enforcement or government agencies under that law, regardless of where you live. No agreement we have with a provider can override that.
We hold as little as possible because of it. What is stored is your email address, the name your sign-in provider gives us, and the stage dates you choose to enter — nothing about your immigration file itself, and no documents.
Which laws apply
We operate in Canada, so Canadian federal privacy law (PIPEDA) applies. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR or GDPR gives you additional rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Not an official service
PR Tracker is not affiliated with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada or the Government of Canada. Nothing here is official guidance. See the Terms of Service.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and, for anything significant, tell you in the app before it takes effect.
